Hi John,
Good to hear from you—it's been more than a while since we baked bagels in BC. Nice to hear that you're also a family man and happy I trust. My girls are almost 13 and 15, and they plus 3 cats and a Samoyed keep me home more than in the old days. If life leads me back up through Victoria, however, you've got a deal. Write more to my email.
Cheers,
Richard

Hello Richard....

I was casting about for "Richard Geller's Moholo Poems" and found this blog. By Gum and you're separated from your beard and Ms. B. Girraffe and the rain forests of hereabouts and all joined up w/ Lady of della famiglia and two daughters, oh my!

Now is quite a time! For me there have been changes of ladies over time and now also two daughters and a son and nowadays
a bouncy Labradoodle who is more likely a Schnoodle according to a border crossing agent who welcomed her back to Canada.... Strudel often reminds me of your super bouncy Pulis....

Nice to see pic of your face.... What does Patanjali say about making samyama on the marks of a person's face revealing the contents of their heart?? Something like that. Let me know if you're coming thru Victoria, B.C. some time--I'll bring you some tootsie pops. [well, if they still exist! Maybe at the Empress Hotel] jcorsiglia@shaw.ca

I've been home from my 6th gathering for some 2 and a half months now and you've done a great job putting into words the "Swanaloha"spirit. Thanks. This is from one of the many Steves you share time with. We also seem to share the same dorm floor in Sunderland. Peace.

Great story Richard. I just mentioned you to someone about that "left the country and came back" part of your history. She wanted to hear more. I didn't know more, had checked several years ago on the Internet and couldn't find anything. Glad to see you are alive and well. I think she will like your poem about the Gulf blowout.

Hey Richard,
I feel the same way when I find a really good book at the library. Instead of checking it out a bazillion times, it feels right to just buy the thing.

As far as online newspapers go, I find them useful for genealogy. Looking at a few archived issues, I can see what my family was up to and how they lived all those years ago.

The big problem with paying is inconvenience. It's much easier just to search Wikipedia or BBC news than to log in and enter credit card details. And a lot of newspapers and community volunteers these days get their information from BBC and Wikipedia anyway.

And for the really deep stuff, I find librarians more experienced and knowledgable than the volunteers on a message board.

There are times when paying online is worth it.
